Fake a Good Nights Sleep

The Holiday Season can be tiring!

Get the Fake a Good Nights Sleep

1.  Wash your face and splash cold water on it five times.

2.  Then to get smooth like a baby skin I use Transceutical™ Canvas which is my primer as well.

3.  Followed by my sheer Innocent Foundation

4.  To sweep away any the tell-tale signs of the foundation I use the Canvas Brush leaving the skin picture perfect without looking like you have anything on your skin! (Trust me it is worth it!!)
5. If you want to look youthful instantly do a little bronze on the cheeks!

6. I sometimes just apply my  Cheek and Eye Blending Duo to bronze/highlight  my cheeks and eyes.  I love how it makes me look put together without hav- ing to do a lot.  Giving the skin a splash of "glow" that doesn't look overdone unlike some bronzers that can be heavy.

7.  Go crazy over MASCARA!! That's all you have to do to look young and stunning at any age.  The biggest mistake women make when doing their holiday makeup is doing TOO much!  Now, you don't have time to stress your self over trying to look perfect.  Supermodels don't so why do you!?

Holiday food tip!!! Don't eat sugar in any shape or form!!   It's the one thing that will throw off your metabolism and ability to burn fat.

A Facial Begins On The Inside

My freeing moment!!  I recently was shopping at my local farmers market on Sunset Blvd in the hollywood hills (where I live in LA).  Taking a stroll to pick up my weekly veggies and suddenly I had an "ah-ha" moment!  Which changed my life forever...
As I was standing by the asparagus- section, shocker!  (my favorite, if you haven't read any of my previous posts)  and at the corner of my eye...I catch...Victoria Secret model Alessandra Ambrosio!  umm...Wow! She was in baggy sweats, not a stitch of makeup makeup, messy hair up with a clip and confidence that oozed out of her!!!
It was then that I realized that it all comes from within.
See its not the stuff you buy that makes you beautiful and in-style but it is how you feel about yourself in it- comfortable and suits you.  And when it comes down to it I think that's really what all of us are shopping for.
Stay true to what you want and deserve.  Don't get sucked into anyone sales pitch that they have the "magic beans" to make your dreams come true.
The truth is this.... Stick with what works.

First and foremost, beauty comes from within so start loving yourself.  Take care of yourself and do not abuse
yourself through food and self doubt talk.

Geri G. goes to the Farmers Market

One of my favorite things to do is go the a farmers market.  I have a list of my “go to” foods list that I stock up on weekly.

Feeding you body only Organic foods helps to support the prevention of toxicity within our cells. Toxins get stored in our cells and make our immune system weak.

Here is my list of foods that you should always pick up at the market:

1. Asparagus- eating asparagus everyday is a great kidney cleaner-upper as well as supporting normal potassium levels in the body.  Asparagus is rich in amino acid named asparagine, which is found to cleanse the body of all the toxins

  •     Top of the of the list of alkaline foods.
  •      Helps lower cholesterol.
  •      Rich in phto-chemicals that are known to fight the problems of inflammation.

2. Cucumber- Wow! I can’t say enough about cucumbers. I just love them and eat them like candy!! They are fibrous and full of potassium.  Eat them when ever you want!  They are great to put in a blender for quick refreshing cucumber juice.  FYI, only eat the skin of a cucumber if it is organic. Otherwise you must peel it before eating!!!  The skin on the cucumber has a decent amount of vitamin C!

  •      Great source of B vitamins.  Good for a pick me-up!!!
  •      Hydration!! Cucumbers are 95% water, keeps you hydrated and helps eliminate      toxins.
  •      Helpful for morning hangovers.  Eat some cucumber before going to bed and in the    AM.  They have the right amount of sugar, B vitamins and electrolytes to replenish the essential nutrients, shrinking the intensity of the hangover.

3. Kale- The mother ship of greens. Its just full of great nutrients that provide the body with a days worth of energy.

  •       Anti-Inflammatory properties, has high amounts of vitamin K which aids to fight against excessive inflammatory-related problems.
  •       Helps boost the immune system.
  •       The high sulfur content in kale has been shown that it is essential for detoxification.
  •       Kale provides glucosinolates, which have been shown to prevent colon, breast, bladder, prostate, ovarian and gastric cancer.

4. Celery- a natural source of sodium, which is essential to the body for balance. 5. Parsley-helps to cleanse the blood and is a great support to the body for daily
detoxifying.

  •       Celery is high source of vitamin C and fiber.  It's a very good source of folic acid, potassium, and vitamin B.
  •       Zero calories.
  •       Celery contains phthalides and polyacetylenes.  Which are anti cancer components detoxify carcinogens.
  •       Celery contains courmarins that enhance the activity of certain white blood cells.
